Art Director will be responsible to develop and execute brand right online strategies that drive sales and support company objectives with an emphasis on exceeding expectations, fostering creativity and promoting accountability.
Art Director responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for managing and designing site launches, marketing creative, and special Web initiatives from conception to completion.
Manages and develops Web and Flash Designers
Responsible for design and production of work including emails, landing pages, banner ads, site enhancements and site redesigns
Provides strong creative, conceptual and technical skills while maintaining high standards, and the ability to respond to continual change and challenges within our fast-paced environment.
Understands the creative and marketing objectives for each project assigned
Partners with marketing and merchants to design brand-right layouts for the Web with an eye to performance and ease of use
Work with Creative Director, User Interface Manager Web Design Team and Copywriters to extend and optimize Web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation
Produces, optimizes and outputs final Web-ready digital artwork in support of site updates
Maintains absolute accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production process
Maintains and update content templates to ensure accurate and efficient design production
Mentors design staff to ensure deadlines for assigned projects are met, fulfilled and tracked
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree, BFA or equivalent with a concentration in visual communication, digital arts or design
- 6+ years experience in retail/e-commerce environment or related interactive agency work
- An impressive portfolio of Web Designs and interactive projects
- A strong sense of visual style with exceptional design, color and typographic skills
- Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Image ready, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
- Strong knowledge of Flash
- Strategic, big-picture thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to show strong initiative and manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
- Solid work ethic and team player attitude
